Sycuan fire academy #11 — aka Two-Bit Thrashers — is pictured above just minutes after they were graduated at the Sycuan Resort.

The Sycuan Fire Department, in association with the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation tribal government, the Bureau of Indian Affairs BIA, Southwestern College and the Golden Eagles Hotshots and Flycrews graduated their three-week 2007 wildland firefighter "boot camp" academy May 26, on the Sycuan Indian Reservation, San Diego County, Southern California.

FIREFIGHTING CAREER JOBS TRAINING

Graduates of the tough military-style "boot camp" wildland fire academy fire school will qualify for employment opportunities with the prestigious Sycuan Fire Department engine crews, handcrews, hotshot crews, helicoptor flycrews, including BIA, CDF, and many other national, city and regional fire departments across the United States of America.

The 2003 wildland firefighter "boot camp" academy was graduated on June 21, 2003, Sycuan Indian Reservation.

The 2002 wildland firefighter "boot camp" academy was graduated on May 24, 2002, Sycuan Indian Reservation. Graduates not pictured: Hocanson and Agundez were deployed to the Bullock Fire and missed graduation ceremonies.

The 2001 wildland firefighter "boot camp" academy was graduated on June 2, 2001, Sycuan Indian Reservation.
