Sycuan Administration Laurie Bell

SYCUAN FIRE DEPT ADMINISTRATION

Dear visitors,

Please allow me to introduce myself.  I am Laurie Bell and I have worked at the Sycuan Fire Department for eight years as the office manager (since 2000).

I retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of active duty before coming to the Sycuan Fire Department, and I feel very fortunate to have two great careers now.

At the fire department, I am responsible for a multitude of duties.

I run the administrative office ensuring that personnel get paid, maintaining files and drafting and sending out official correspondence. I also assist the Training Department, and act as a liaison between other Sycuan departments on the reservation, and a lot more.

Basically I am the go-to person for the staff and firefighters.

During my eight years with Sycuan, I have seen many young men and women come to work for the Sycuan Fire Department.  Some of them were just out of high school and now they are grown up, getting married, having children, and making a great career in the fire service.

It is personally rewarding for me to watch our fire fighters learn and grow in such an honorable profession.

Our tribal fire department is located in a rural setting.  I enjoy the green hills, wildlife and of course all that Southern California sunshine.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about our fire department, and I invite you stop in and visit us on reservation when you are in town.

Sincerely,

LAURIE BELL, Admin / Office Manager
