Founded in 1974, the Sycuan Fire Department is a large, well-funded, tribally-owned professional firefighting institution based on the Sycuan Indian Reservation in rural east San Diego County mountain countryside.

The Sycuan Native American Fire Dept. includes a state-of-the-art Safety-Training Division, Air & Wildland Division, Structural Division, and an Emergency Medical Services EMS Division.
