The veteran 23-year-old wildland firefighter is a successful graduate of the 2006 annual Sycuan-BIA Wildland Fire Academy held on the Sycuan Indian Reservation.

Firefighter Osuna already has three successful fire seasons on his professional firefighter resumé with the U.S. Department of the Interior DOI, the Bureau of Indian Affairs BIA and the Sycuan Fire Department SFD elite wildland and aviation programs.

Founded in 1974, the Sycuan Fire Department is a large, well-funded, tribally-owned professional firefighting organization based on the Sycuan Indian Reservation in a rural east San Diego County mountain countryside.

The Sycuan Native American Fire Dept. includes a state-of-the-art Safety-Training Division, Air & Wildland Division, Structural Division, and an Emergency Medical Services EMS Division.
